Web Builders & Web Designers

Some web hosting sites have a web builder or designer available to users who use their hosting services.  If you use a web builder the templates that you use are using CSS behind the scenes.  Fortunately you should be able to edit your web site without touching the HTML or the CSS.

In most cases you will be using a WYSIWYG Editor to create and modify your site.

Using a WYSIWYG Editor

What is a WYSIWYG Editor?
WYSIWYG stand for “What You See Is What You Get” and it's an editor that lets you see content the way it will be displayed while you edit it.

Here's an example from cPanel's RVSiteBuilder:

You'll notice that a lot of the buttons are similar to what you see in word processing software.

With most editors if you hover your mouse cursor over the button it will tell you want that button does, here's a screen shot of what I mean:  WYSIWYG Hover Help
